Hands-on chemistry experiments, building your own birdhouse, or walking a hamster wheel to craft your own frozen beverage – without electricity.
You may remember those activities from the Big Muddy Mini Maker Faire last March, and now there’s more to see for the 2019 Maker Faire.
The Big Muddy Mini Maker Faire is a place for makers to show off their projects and share what they have learned with the community. Makers are creative; they range from entrepreneurs, tinkerers, inventors, hobbyists, crafters, educators and homespun engineers.
Sandra Pettit Weber, Mini Maker Faire chair, said she is excited to see old makers return and new makers come along.
“We loved having Shocking Science last year and we are excited to see them return,” Pettit Weber said. “I’m also very excited to welcome new makers that have very creative and innovative projects to show.”
The Faire is also inviting sponsors, food makers, presenters and entertainers to become part of this great show (and tell).
Do you have a cool project you are working on and would like to share with the community? Makers should apply now as spaces are limited. You can go online and apply at https://thebigmuddy.makerfaire.com/call-for-makers/.
Be a maker at the 2019 Big Muddy Mini Maker Faire. The Faire is Saturday, March 2 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Restoration Natatorium in Downtown St. Joseph.
